Alchemy Guide

Hi, good . World of Warcraft is
an extensive game rich with creatures, realms, and character
classes that, much like in real life, requires acquiring
skills, buying and finding equipment, and learning professions.
Alchemy is one such profession, and this WoW Alchemy
Guide will provide information on this prized and
valuable Primary profession.
Alchemy involves mixing herbs and reagents to create
cauldrons, elixirs, flasks, oils, and potions. The potions have
a variety of uses including elemental resistance, healing,
invisibility, and mana. Oils created from Alchemy coat weapons,
and the list goes on.

Every class benefits from Alchemy. Warriors involved in
melee fighting use it to craft potions that buff and heal.
Spell casters use it to formulate mana potions and buffs. It is
a versatile profession in that you may make potions for your
own use, to sell, or to give to your guild.
To become an Alchemist, you must first find a trainer. The
only equipment you will need is the necessary reagents and a
flask. Any good WoW Alchemy guide will tell you that potions
need something other than your hands to be contained in! In
other words, flasks are required.
There are four types of flasks: Empty, Leaded, Crystal, and
Imbued. Empty flasks are utilized in making low-level potions.
Leaded are for mid-level potions, while Crystal and Imbued
flasks are for mixing upper-level potions. Alchemy is also
extremely useful because it can be performed anywhere,
excepting the Flask Recipes, which are few in number and of an
extremely high level.
Herbalism is not a requiring profession when becoming an
Alchemist, but it is very highly recommended. Almost every
recipe requires herbs, so why, asks this WoW Alchemy Guide, buy
at the Auction House when you can harvest them yourself?
Master Alchemy, which caps at skill 375, is learned from
trainers in Outland. Alliance members will train with Alchemist
Gribble, Lauranna Thar’well, Zarevhi , or Lorokeem. Horde
members should track down Apothecary Antonivich, Laranna
Thar’well, Zarevhi, or Lorokeem.
For those who play the Wrath of the Lich King expansion,
Grand Master Alchemy covers skill levels 375-450 and is learned
in Northrend. Alliance members should seek Lanolis Dewdrop,
while Horde members should find Wilhelmina Renel. Linzy
Blackbolt is available to both fAlliance and Horde actions.
It should also be mentioned in this WoW Alchemy Guide that
many recipes will be learned from the trainers, but some will
have to be obtained from monster drops or chests. Most often,
however, they can be purchased from other players. As you
complete quests and kill monsters, your reputation will
increase from Hated to Exalted. Certain reputations will enable
you to unlock additional recipes.
Don’t forget about the gold! You can create a stock of
potions and then sell them to others at auction. It may take
time and practice to figure out what prices people are willing
to pay for certain potions. Remember, WoW is inhabited by
fighters, so healing potions will be popular. And be a
salesman; tell others how they will benefit from what you are
selling.
As you can see from this WoW Alchemy Guide, this profession
is both beneficial to you and your guild in combat, and in
making a little money along the way.
I hope you found this WoW Alchemy Guide of help.
All the best
Adam
